I just spilled water on my macbook pro screen today. I thought it was OK because it didnt seem to have gotten inside the computer, just on the outside but when I turned it on, the screen was three different variations of brightness. But it wasnt just three perfect sections, it was like three different layers of water puddles. thats what it looked like on my screen. The screen twitched a bit when i tried to use it. I am letting it sit on its side with the battery out. Is there any hope that the water will dry out from inside the screen and will it stop twitching?
sorry to hear your situation. i would suggest you keep doing what you are, open ram compartment also (above battery 3 tiny phillips head screws will need to be removed).. may as well take out ram… (i ended up pretty much pulling apart whole laptop & leaving to dry, but this was a very scary experience & i wouldn’t recommend it unless you are very comfortable assemblying pcs!)
then put in a warmish airy space for a few days ( lid open &on side), fingers crossed it may be ok.. (u could also use hairdryer, but on low heat, to speed the process)
i would however, advise against using until you are sure it is dry.., the whole ‘twiching’ thing makes me think the inverter/light may be shorting out!!
